In his message, Mr. Abela referred to the fact that today we have a wider perspective of the environment and environmental issues rather than just on the need to protect the natural environment. He stressed on the need to protect our cultural heritage which forms part of this environment and the need to appreciate better this heritage since it is the essence of our identity.
He concluded the message with an appeal to celebrate the feast of St Catherine in an honourable environment so that its people proves the esteem it has to its town and welcomes all visitors to our town.
