Wirt iż-Żejtun has just launched its 11th publication which portrays a researched historical documentation and a critical appreciation of the Parish Church of St Catherine of Alexandria in Żejtun. This research was carried out by Ms Giulia Privitelli as a thesis which she presented for her Bachelor of Arts in the History of Art at the University of Malta. The publication is a translation to Maltese of this thesis done through the indispensable assistance of Ms Georgette Cutajar and was published thanks to the permission granted by the Department of Art and History of Art within the Faculty of Arts.
This book is our organisation’s contribution to commemorate the 300th year anniversary since the completion of this church. The publication was supported through the Small Initiatives Scheme managed by the Malta Council for Voluntary Sector through the project IL-KTIEB STORJA submitted by Wirt iż-Żejtun.
This book was launched on the 29th December at the same parish church and the event was broadcasted live on our Facebook page.
