The project APPREZZAXLOKK ended up on Sunday 8th October at the St Anne Parish Hall in Marsascala with the closure of the last tour of the photographic exhibition by Ing Charles Mifsud.
This project was aimed at increasing the appreciation in the cultural and natural heritage of Southeast Malta. During the summer months we have visited the localities of Marsaxlokk, Żejtun, Żabbar and Marsascala. In every locality all started with a presentation run by Perit Ruben Abela, about the coastal military heritage of the Southeast, followed by the official opening of the photographic exhibition.
The APPREZZAXLOKK project was visited by residents from the respective localities and other visitors. In the case of Marsaxlokk and Żabbar, the exhibition was held during the week of the village festa to appeal for wider audiences.
This project was financed through the Small Initiatives Support Scheme managed by the Malta Council for Voluntary Sector.
