The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Wirt iż-Żejtun was held on Sunday 20th January 2013.
During this meeting Tracey Ann Vella Cumbo, secretary of Wirt iż-Żejtun presented the annual report of the organisation, which included the activities held and achievements reached by our organisation.
Jesmond Cutajar, treasurer of Wirt iż-Żejtun, updated those present on the financial situation of the organisation, stressing the importance on membership and on the financial support which is required from commercial entities. Without such support neither the symposium nor the recently issued publication would have materialised.
The members present for the meeting were given the opportunity to raise questions on both reports and make recommendations.
During this AGM a new executive committee was elected for the following two years. To our satisfaction there was increased interest from members in contributing within the executive committee. In fact this year there were six members contesting for three member positions within the committee.
The elected committee consists of: Ruben Abela (President), Tracey Ann Vella Cumbo (Secretary), Jesmond Cutajar (Treasurer), Fiona Vella (PRO), Brian Caruana, Samuel Falzon and Catherine Tabone as Members.

Wish the new Committee very well for the next two years. Trust that your dedication and commitment will foster a rolling effect and encourage more people from Zejtun to appreciate the heritage left by our forefathers.
