Wirt iż-Żejtun objective has always been to promote and protect our cultural heritage in a pro-active way. With this in mind, after submitting a list of twelve sites located within or close to the Buleben feudal estate, recommending their scheduling to the Planning Authority and the Superintendent for Cultural Heritage in November 2019, we have just submitted another list of thirty two properties, located within the urban area of Żejtun, with a similar recommendation to these respective authorities.
The properties being proposed for scheduling include nine palazzini and their gardens, eight public buildings, eight churches and seven houses.
We expect that both the Superintendent for Cultural Heritage and the Planning Authority react positively to our approach and endorse our recommendations.
