On Sunday 24th April, Wirt iż-Żejtun held a cultural tour of two old hamlets which originally formed part of medieval Żejtun.
The participants on this tour were given information about the architectural heritage and history of Ħal-Biżbud and Ħal-Ġwann, both of which today form part of the area known as ir-Raħal ta’ Fuq.
This tour was primarily intended to address the ever-growing interest in local heritage shown by foreigners living in Malta and for this reason it was conducted in English. In fact more than half of the participants were foreigners who have been living in Malta for the past years.
The tour included a short break during which participants tasted some local pastizzi.
