Wirt iż-Żejtun have took part for the first time, in the activity organised by the Zejtun Parish during this weekend on the church parvis – Il-Parroċċa taż-Żejtun Tistiednek.
Through our presence in this activity, our aim was to attract children and provide them with useful material to help them appreciate better the richness of our heritage. This was done by providing scenes of buildings at Zejtun for the children to colour whilst sharing with them our thoughts on how we should appreciate better the heritage surrounding us. Most of these children joined the Kids Club of Wirt iż-Żejtun and some of them will also be joining us for the cultural visit planned for the 22nd May.
Wirt iż-Żejtun also prepared a number of posters containing photographs of architectural elements found in buildings within the centre of the town, these included doors, door knobs, wrought iron works and stone carving.
