The restoration and conservation works on the stone statue of St Gregory, located in the piazza in front of the old parish church, has started today and will be completed within a month’s time.
This is an important statue and has a high artistic value since it is one of the few sculptural works done by the Nazarene Movement in the first half of the 19th Century.
Wirt iż-Żejtun has lately launched an appeal for donations from individuals and commercial entities to support the carrying out of this project. Any one who would like to make a donation can do so by sending a cheque payable to Wirt iż-Żejtun to our postal address: Wirt iż-Żejtun, PO Box 25, Zejtun. An official receipt will be issued for each and every donation, and benefactors will be duly acknowledge during a ceremony which is going to be held in the evening of the 22nd April 2014.

A presentation given by Ms Giulia Privitelli on the 19th November 2013 on her research about the history of the Zejtun Parish Church.
By participating actively in Wirt iż-Żejtun you will be learning more and adding to your knowledge. Now this is also being rewarded since you can add such experience into the Secondary School Certificate and Profile. Wirt iż-Żejtun will be giving a participation certificate to Form 1 to Form 5 students attending our activities.

This video documents an activity which was organised by Wirt iż-Żejtun in July 2011 in which Dr Malcolm Borg speaks about the history of this garden and other similar gardens in Malta and Dr Joseph Buhagiar speaks about the species of trees found in this garden.
Wirt iż-Żejtun had organised this activity for children in August 2011 in which Mr Lino Psaila had showed those attending how they make a "manuċċa" (a kite).
