The beauty of the natural habitat of the South of Malta is rarely appreciated, even by residents who live in the vicinity. In an attempt to rectify this, Wirt iż-Żejtun, on 31st March, organised walk of discovery around this part of the southern coast of Malta.
The walk started from Munxar in St Thomas Bay and ended at the lighthouse in Delimara where we had an opportunity to visit the saltpans at Tal-Gidien. During this walk those attending learnt more about the area in general as well as about the places of historical interest which are found in the environs.
