Wirt iż-Żejtun is holding the exhibition 100 Sena L’ALPINO at the BOV branch in Żejtun.  This exhibition is being organised as part of the activities held during Żejt iż-Żejtun festival.

The exhibition includes a number of documents and artefacts related to the opera L’ALPINO composed by Maestro Carlo Diacono.  This opera was performed in April and May 1918 at the Royal Opera House in Valletta.

The documents and artefacts exhibited are on loan from the the National Library, the Beland Band Club and Mr Charles Debono.  The exhibition was not possible if not for the Bank of Valletta, who are hosting it at their branch in Żejtun and Heritage Malta who provided the show cases.

The exhibition was inaugurated on the 19th September by Dr Owen Bonnici, Minister of Justice, Culture and Local Government and will remain open up to Saturday 29th September, when people attending Żejt iż-Żejtun area encouraged to visit it.
