A group of boys from the MUSEUM Christian Doctrine Section of Żejtun had a different hike from those which they usually have with their superiors. This time the hike took the form of a cultural tour from Żejtun to Xropp l-Għaġin which was lead by Wirt iż-Żejtun.
Wirt iż-Żejtun offered its service to a number of children and youths organisations in Żejtun to help them organising activities linked with the appreciation of our cultural heritage. We were delighted with the fact that the section of the MUSEUM Boys had accepted this offer. In fact this is the third joint activity which Wirt iż-Żejtun had with the Żejtun Boys MUSEUM.
Along our tour we visited the Dar tal-Kastellan, it-Torri tal-Kwies, Chapel of Santa Marija ta’ Ħal-Tmin, it-Torri tal-Mozz, Chapel of San Geatan, Torri Mamo, the site of the Chapel of St Thomas, Rihama Battery, Torri San Pawl, Chapel of St Paul, remains of Torri De Rhedin and entrenchment and St Paul’s Battery.
The boys listened attentively to the information which was shared with them and enjoyed every single moment of this tour.
A certificate of attendance for Non-Formal Education will be issued for those who attended this and other activities planned for this year by Wirt iż-Żejtun.
