The 19th March marks the annual commemoration of Zejtun Day in which the Zejtun Local Council holds a number of activities to celebrate this day.
On Sunday 18th March, the Local Council held its Annual Cultural Seminar with this year’s theme linked to the centenary celebration of the foundation of the Domus at Zejtun. The main speakers in this year’s seminar were Mr George J. Vella, Rev. Eric Overend (Parish Priest) and Mr Andrea Cutajar.
On Monday 19th March at 9:30am, young children are invited to meet in front of the Local Council’s Office at St. Angelo Street to participate in a Treasure Hunt. At 7:30pm every one is invited to attend for the award of Gieħ iż-Żejtun (Zejtun Award) which will be awarded to a person who true his activity helped in some way or other the Zejtun community. This event will be held at the Parish Hall.
