On Friday the 29th July Wirt iz-Zejtun organised a cultural event which took us to Luqa Briffa Garden or as is commonly know “Il-Ġnien tal-Kmand”.
The event started with an informative presentation by Dr Malcolm Borg on the history of this garden and its significance on a national level. This was followed by a tour through the garden lead by Dr Joseph Buhagiar who explained the significance and importance of a number of trees found within this botanical garden.
This event was attended by a good number of persons, mostly members of Wirt iz-Zejtun and their relatives. Those present shown interest on what was being delivered and in fact reacted with questions to the speakers.
Following the presentations and tour, the membership cards of Wirt iz-Zejtun were distributed to the members present.
